THE TEMAZCAL: THE CEREMONY OF THE FIRST BREATH

On this Path of Knowledge, the Temazcal is the most sacred ceremony, inextricably and intrinsically linked to Air, Water, Fire, and Earth—the four forces of nature from which we are made and which gave us our origin.

The Temazcal is the ceremony of the Stone Elders, and we always approach it with a purpose that must translate into the restoration of all our relationships. It involves the purification of our entire being as we are reborn within the sacred womb of the sweat lodge—a space that offers us the undeniable opportunity to reclaim our breath, form, and destiny in life for the "first time," so that we may begin to take our initial steps on the path of supreme truth, consciousness, and bliss. This is the Temazcal ceremony: the Ceremony of the First Breath.
